Go Kart Height Rules and What to Expect at Funway
Go karts are the attraction most families ask about first, and the answer to the biggest question is simple. Riders need to be at least 54 inches tall, and go karts at Funway start at $11 per ride. You will find them at both of our Michigan locations, Farmington Hills and Saginaw.
How tall do you need to be to drive a go kart?
The height requirement is 54 inches. Our team measures at the track entrance, so it helps to know your child's height before you head over. If someone in your group is a little short of 54 inches, there are plenty of other attractions to enjoy while the taller drivers take their turn.
What do go karts cost?
Go karts start at $11. There is no entry fee at Funway, which means you only pay for the attractions you choose. If your group wants to try several things in one visit, take a look at the wristband options in our online store.
Tips for your first visit
Wear closed toe shoes, and tie back long hair before you climb in. Parking is free at both locations, and walk ins are always welcome, so you do not need a reservation to ride. The track is the most popular spot on busy evenings, so arriving a little earlier in your visit helps keep the wait short.
Hungry after a few laps? Our on site restaurant serves pizza, breadsticks and wings, with halal food available at both locations.
